Tajik side opens fire from mortars on one more Kyrgyz village

As of 11:15 on September 17, 2022, the village of Dostuk in Batken region, was subjected to mortar fire from the Tajik side, the press service of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic said.
He said that the Tajik side opened fire on the village from three mortar crews.
“Despite the agreements reached on a ceasefire, the Tajik side is shelling the village of Dostuk,” the report said.
Subdivisions of the Border Service of the State Committee for National Security of the Kyrgyz Republic, stationed in the Batken region, repel the attack of the enemy.
Earlier, having violated the previously reached agreements, starting from 08:50 to 08:55, the Tajik side fired mortars at Kyrgyz village of Pasky Aryk in Batken region. The shelling was stopped at 8:55.
According to the latest data from the Ministry of Health, 103 people from the Kyrgyz side were injured, 24 people died, including children.
